2020
Events for 2020 had to be postponed due to Covid-19. However, the Sunflower Competition put on a good showing, brightening up the area.
We were keen to support St Thomas’s Sq with its window advent calendar. Some of the windows are available to view.

2017
18 March: Mother's Day treats. Our most popular event – with children making Mother's Day presents, plus tea and cakes, our AGM and a swap-shop. A poor turnout - only two children in total. They both produced a beautiful plant arrangement and a chocolate treat for their mothers – plus one for grandmothers, aunts and even for grandfathers! Why not? Granddads are important too! The plant, seed and book swap was again worthwhile – all plants went to good homes in our area and the extra books went to Emmaus. We have to thank Tesco, the Co-op and B&Q for prizes and plants. The raffle raised £26 for Red Balloon and £26 for RSPCA. Both charities were delighted with the unexpected gift.

7 May: AGM, Coffee Morning, book and plant swap, raffle in aid of Headway Cambridgeshire (supporting local people with brain injury). St Thomas's Hall. With home made cake. 21 May: Community Day & Litter Pick with the C3 Church. June: Yard Sale. 20 August: Picnic in the Park. Cherry Hinton Hall Park. With a picnic, friends, family - an informal event on the lawn in the north corner. 5 November: Remember, Remember. A talk by Mike Petty at St Thomas's Hall. Lots of reminiscing went on – but not many people wrote anything down! We want to make your stories into a booklet and send them in to the 'Capturing Cambridge' project run by the Museum of Cambridge. We now have a couple of long and fascinating accounts of life here during and after the last war (which you can read in our History section. The raffle, in aid of the local branch of the Alzheimer's Society and the Blue Cross in Garlic Row, raised £32 for each charity. |

1 November: We held our table-top sale in St Thomas's Hall, Ancaster Way. It was not very well attended but those who came certainly had a good time. Lots of tea and cake and lots of chat. Helen sold most of her goods to other stallholders at knockdown prices.
