2021 Summer Bake Off and Picnic - 13 June from 12.30pm
On Sunday 13th June the neighbourhood came together for the first edition of the BARA Bake-Off & Picnic. We enjoyed each others company in the gorgeous sunshine, along with some marvellous cakes brought by our talented neighbours!
In the children’s section we had many amazing creations: The prize for the Most Original Recipe went to the Banana & Chocolate Chip Cake by Arthur from St. Thomas’ Square, and the prize for the Best Decoration went to the Chocolate Hedgehog by Lucy Ivy from St. Thomas’s Square. The prize for the Most Popular Entry went to the Crinkled Cookies by Sara from St. Thomas’s Square, narrowly beating the Guinness Cake by Nancy and Samuel from St. Thomas’s Square and Eddie’s Best Cupcakes by Eddie from Birdwood Road. A big well done to all the little bakers! Pictures below. Adults below the cakes.

In the adult section, the prize for the Most Original Recipe went to Renata and Lukasz who have just moved into Birdwood Road and brought some amazing Vegan Apricot Muffins. Well done and welcome to our neighbourhood! The prize for the Best Decoration went to the Lotus Biscoff & White Chocolate Ganache Celebration Cake by Paola from St. Thomas’s Square. The prize for the Most Popular Entry went to the Strawberry Lemonade Cake by Daniel and his mum Catalina from St. Thomas’s Square.
