This is a big secret but, it is on its way. The City Council grant has been agreed and the Dinky People will start work this month. They won’t tell us where it will be – we’ll have to find it! They have said something about tiny artworks. They want us (especially the tiny us-people that live in our area) to provide tiny artworks to inhabit the spaces behind the many doors that will be part of the structure. They tell us that we will have more information on the Skip Day. Intriguing!

In it you will find a sign up form for the coach trip to Norwich and some news of other events that will be happening. Emmaus Cambridge has recently started a new project to complement their existing not-for-profit social enterprise at their Landbeach community.
"We have taken over the former charity Reboot Cambridge and working with their staff we have set up Emmaus Reboot. We are now looking to local companies and the general public to support our charity by donating your unwanted IT hardware, we will then recycle and re-sell refurbished computers through the social enterprise. We are looking for donations of Laptops, PC’s, tablets and flat-screen monitors. All hard drives will be wiped in line with the European General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), and the UK Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA) and a certificate can be provided upon request. Our team of computer refurbishing experts will strip down computers, monitors, laptops and other IT equipment and carefully re-build them into fully working equipment, which will be sold at an affordable price. We can collect free of charge within 5 working days of a request being received. Please contact collections@emmauscambridge.org or call 01223 863 657. All funds raised will help us continue to support the formerly homeless people who live and work with us to rebuild their lives." Come to our Bake off and Picnic in June - enter a cake or just come for the food. Hosts and artists needed for 2022 Bird Box Gallery Art Trail in July. All this and more in our May newsletter. Cambridge Online has been revealed last night as a finalist for the first-ever Craig McDonald Memorial Prize, organised as part of the national Digital Leaders 100. Awards. The award is to recognise grassroots organisations working in their local areas to fix the digital divide and a public vote is now open to decide the winner of the £5k prize, who will be announced on 11 November. People can vote for Cambridge Online to win by going to https://digileaders100.com/craig-macdonald. It just takes ticking a box and entering your email, so no time at all to help them in this way.
